Day 4

Healing, Miracles & God’s Restoring Power

Theme Scripture:

Jeremiah 30:17 — “For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal.”

Devotional:

At some point, many of us stop praying boldly for healing — not because we doubt that God can, but because experience has taught us to guard our hope. We’ve prayed before. We’ve believed before. And sometimes the unanswered prayers linger longer than the miracles.

But Scripture repeatedly reminds us of God’s heart: “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds” (Psalm 147:3). Not just physical wounds — emotional ones, relational ones, the kind that shape how we see ourselves and God. When people came to Jesus with pain, He never dismissed them or rushed past their suffering. He stopped. He listened. He healed.

Hebrews tells us that Jesus Christ is “the same yesterday, today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). That means His compassion has not changed, and His power has not diminished. Healing may not always come the way or the timing we expect, but God is always near to those who bring their pain to Him.

Today, we pray honestly and boldly. Some of us are praying for physical healing. Others are praying for emotional restoration, peace of mind, or renewed strength after long seasons of weariness. We bring our needs — and the needs of those we love — to a God who still restores.

Prayer Focus:

God, we bring sickness, pain, trauma, anxiety, grief, and exhaustion to You. Heal what is broken. Restore what has been lost. Renew strength, hope, and faith for those who are weary.
