A Healing "How To"

A Healing "How To"

What a crazy time we are in. I believe that crazy times call for a “Crazy Faith.” In a lot of ways it is easy to keep our faith on a shelf. We can put it away when we feel like we don’t need it and pull it down to serve us when we feel like it is necessary. This “Pantry Faith” is dangerous, though, because if we aren’t careful, we won’t have our “Crazy Faith” ready when we need it. God wants us to have a Crazy Faith that goes with us wherever we go.

Is there anyone out there who still believes that God can heal? Healing requires “Crazy Faith.” The kind of faith that you can’t hide or put on a shelf. If there was ever a time to take it off the shelf and make it a part of every area of our lives, it’s right now.  I love this verse out of Isaiah:

“4 Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. 5 But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed” Isaiah 53:4-5 NIV.

The key to healing is faith. There is a link between the results we experience here on earth and the faith that we have in Jesus. It is by his wounds that we are healed. That means that there is nothing else in this world that can bring us the healing that we need from Jesus: physically, emotionally and spiritually. Now, I am thankful for doctors and medical professionals, who I believe God works through, but let’s not forget that healing requires some “Crazy Faith.” Jesus died so that we might be healed. The perfect life he lived and sacrificed was the only form of payment that would buy us the authority, through Jesus, over our sicknesses today. I am believing for healing from COVID, I believe for financial healing for our country, I am believing for emotional healing for those drastically affected by this. Are you?
