Day 11/21 - Better Together

Welcome to day 11 of our 21 Days of Prayer and Fasting! To help you on this journey, we have provided a prayer guide you can follow! You can access it here. Our daily devotional is modeled after the "First 15". This is a habit we want to create that takes the first 15 minutes of your day and dedicates it to spending time with the Lord.

5 Minutes - God's Word
Proverbs 27:17 As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
The bible teaches us that it is important for us to build connections through connecting with others. You may ask, “why is it important to build connections with others?” Building connections with others is how we can show God’s love. God says in Genesis 2:18 It is not good for man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him, meaning that He did not intend for us to live independently. Instead, we are made to live interdependent through connection and community with others because we are made in the image of God, and God is love. We are commanded to love one another! (John 13:34) So -- How do I get connected, where do I start? These are the most frequent questions I hear being asked and it may sound simple, but getting connected can be challenging for some. And that’s okay! Believe big and start small. You can start by joining a small group! FFC's spring semester of groups will be kicking off on February 2nd! You can also find a way to serve. Whether it be in your community, or on our Dream Team at FFC! Small Groups can serve as a support system through hard times and your cheerleader through exciting times! This is where you surround yourself with like-minded people who want God's best for your life. By serving or joining a ministry team, you can get connected spiritually by giving yourself the opportunity to serve God by serving others. In Next Steps, you will be able to find out that God has given you spiritual gifts. After learning about your spiritual gifts, you will be able to join a team and start using those God-given gifts. It's such a rewarding experience to serve side by side with a team, grow in your faith and watch them grow in theirs.
We were made to do life with others and at the end of the day, we are truly  BETTER TOGETHER!

5 Minutes - Prayer (can be read aloud)
Father, I thank you for this day and for the gift of connections. I am honored to be made in the image of you, Lord. I thank you for every person you have brought into my life that has loved me and comforted me, and I ask that you continue to connect me with the best people. I thank you in advance for these individuals and I pray for favor over their lives. I pray, Lord, that I will be a blessing to them as well and help guide them to the calling over their life. Thank you, Lord. I love you. In your mighty name - Amen!

Good morning, I would like to join a small group to experience the effects of being better together. I have been a loner for quite sometime and I want to try doing things differently. Thx for the encouraging words of this message. God bless you all.

Amen!!! Being new to this church family and area is exciting. I can’t wait to start my second new group. I pray for all the small groups this time around. That God brings blessings through each one of them to all of the people who join. My first small group was awesome. The ladies I met are so sweet!!! Be encouraged and join a small group. You won’t regret it!!! 😊
